Permanent resident visa permits the individual to live for an unlimited time within Canada, and the individual will also be qualifying for citizenship after completing qualified time decided by the government.

On the other hand, as a resident visa holder, one can reside and work in Canada for a particular period, which is usually for 24 months.

Medical exams are on the basis of the country from which you will be applying

It is difficult to predict. Everyone is not interviewed. An Interview is normally conducted to check the authenticity of the documents and counter checking of the individual is done by the officer in case of any doubt.

Everyone applying who is 18 years old or more needs to obtain a police clearance certificate from every country where the individual has been living after the age of 18 years and lived there for more than 6 months. Every country has a separate process for police clearance certificates. It is advisable to consult the police division of a particular country to find out their regional rules.

Each applicant is different, and their complete medical background is considered before coming to a conclusion. In case the disease is dangerous enough for Canadian people or will be putting a load on the Canadian healthcare system, then your visa will be refused.

It is normally valid for 1 year after you have been declared medically fit.

You will acquire points for your application based on your English and/ or French test. It is mandatory to take a language test in English or French without considering your nationality. It is compulsory for every individual applying even if French or English is your principal language. One should clear the test taken by the agency authorized by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada prior to the start of the immigration procedure. One will be given 24 points on the basis of capability in English or French.
