Proof of having sufficient funds to support your Canada stay shall need to be furnished by your child or grandchild. Holders of Super Visa can live in Canada for a maximum period of two years. However, if they want to extend their stay in Canada for more than two years, then an application shall have to be made seeking an extension of your stay in Canada.

Meanwhile, if you have applied for an extension of your Super Visa and your present Super Visa gets expired while the application is under process, then you can be allowed to stay in Canada as you wait for the decision of your visa extension from the Canadian government.
